NEW opera composed in 2024

Game is a one-act opera touching on what makes us want to continuing to live in the face of desperate situations. Is the key fame, happiness or simply being loved?

In Game “Life” and “Death” vie for the fate of “Youth,” a poet and “Girl,” a dancer. Their fates ultimately are decided by the cards, yet Life and Death do their best to negotiate a deal: Death offers eternal peace, while Life offers love tinged with the uncertainties that are life.

The opera is in one act, five tableaux.
It is scored for flute, clarinet, piano and percussion and four characters:

Life: Mezzo Soprano
Death: Baritone
Youth: Tenor
Girl: Mezzo Soprano
